Carissa Jean is a writer, storyteller, and body horror maven with an eye for the creative and immersive.
I’m a seasoned storyteller with a goal to focus my art on the exiled emotions we often shove away. I’ve completed advanced screenwriting classes through the Northwest Film Center and have enjoyed several courses taught by Randall Jahnson.
In 2021 I had the honor of participating in The Writer-Actor Workshop taught by both Jahnson and master actor Ted Rooney, gaining even more insights into collaboration, writing, and directing.
Currently, I am a cohort for the 2024 Willamette Writers FilmLab and participated in the educational writer’s room. The script our room collaborated on is slated to go into development in 2025.
As a graduate of the Independent Publishing Resource Center, I come equipped with both analog sensibilities and digital know-how to bring any narrative to life.
